QUICK READ: Trump and his MAGA cronies are stealing lunch money, by decimating federal agencies at the cost of thousands of lives and untold suffering, all to make the rich even richer. Our Members of Congress must fight these cuts and illegal orders, expose vaccine disinformation, and hold hearings about MAGA’s deadly war on children.

BACKGROUND

In less than five months, MAGA’s deadly war on children has had a monumental impact here and abroad. A short review:

  • Trump signs Executive Order to end birthright citizenship and deport US citizen children.

  • DHS rescinds protected area policy, enabling ICE to attack children in schools, childcare centers, and playgrounds.

  • A federal freeze disrupts $300+ billion earmarked for children’s programs.

  • Executive orders signed strengthening school privatization.

  • Musk dismisses USAID workers and begins dissolving USAID, whose budget fights tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV in children overseas; protects children from sex trafficking; and supplies clean water, sanitation, and maternal/infant healthcare.

  • House cuts billions from Medicaid, SNAP, and children’s health-focused programs.

  • USDA cancels $600+ million in school grants for childcare and food.

  • HHS Secretary misleads nation about measles outbreaks, killing children here, while, abroad, the administration ends international vaccine programs.

  • Trump signs illegal order to eliminate the Department of Education.

  • HHS fires 10,000+ employees, including teams handling Milwaukee school lead poisoning, and cuts aid to prevent HIV transmission to children here.

  • U.S. citizen children with cancer deported.

Our current administration is stealing lunch money to make the rich richer by decimating international agencies at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives and untold suffering. 

The MAGA war on children is lethal. We cannot stand by while irreparable damage is done.

Our MOCs must publicize the war on children, refuse to support cuts and illegal orders, expose vaccine disinformation, and hold hearings on the life and death impacts of these policies.
