A Vote for Cheaper Eggs Was Not A Vote for Mass Incarceration Camps
QUICK READ: Those who thought they were voting for cheaper eggs last November were not voting to end birthright citizenship, send ICE into schools, use government funds to build mass detention centers, and turn Guantanamo Bay into an incarceration camp for immigrants. It’s time for the legislature to reassert its authority. We are not governed by Executive Orders but rather by the rule of law.
CONTENTS:
BACKGROUND
Last November, a portion of the American electorate voted for what they thought would be a regime change bringing cheaper eggs and a rollback of inflation. They did not vote to:
send ICE into schools
end Birthright Citizenship
arrest American citizens
engage in mass deportations
build incarceration camps
open up and expand Guantanamo Bay
spend federal dollars to build private detention centers and prisons
run ICE with a quota system that violates due process.
Moreover, under a false 212(f) proclamation, the current administration has cited an “invasion” in order to justify denying asylum protections established by Congress for generations. According to Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project, “this is an unprecedented power grab that will put countless lives in danger.” Senior litigation attorney at the National Immigrant Justice Center, Richard Caldarone added that the move makes “thousands of people vulnerable to persecution, torture, and death.”
Presidents do not hold ultimate and universal authority over our immigration laws. Trump’s actions are both un-American and illegal. As long as Trump’s power grab continues, I expect my MoCs to deny Trump the ability to enact his agenda and to use litigation, investigations, and regular press conferences to show the American people how Trump’s riding roughshod over Congress and the Constitution.
ACTION One: Call the Senate.

Presidents do not hold ultimate authority over our immigration laws. Trump’s actions are both un-American and illegal. As long as Trump’s power grab continues, I urge you to put “ blanket holds” on all Trump’s nominees, deny Senate Republicans the ability to enact Trump’s agenda by continuously demanding quorum calls and objecting to unanimous consent, and use litigation, investigations, and regular press conferences to show the American people how Trump is riding roughshod over Congress and the Constitution and how he should be using your taxpayer dollars for programs that benefit you rather than only himself and his billionaire friends.

Presidents do not hold ultimate authority over our immigration laws. Trump’s actions are both un-American and illegal. I am asking you to call on the justice system to walk back these violations and to commit to oppose Trump’s draconian and cruel immigration policies that do not help your constituents and adversely affect the U.S. economy.
ACTION TWO: Call the House.

I am furious that Elon Musk, an unelected Ketamine user with no government experience, has hijacked access to our most sensitive financial data , fired the civil servants in charge of keeping it safe, and given 6 college students with no clearance full access to them. This is unconstitutional and illegal and you must take steps to stop it. Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent’s grant of access demonstrates his inability to protect our money and makes him a danger to democracy, which is why I am asking, as your constituent, that you introduce a privileged motion to impeach him, which, once introduced, must be voted upon by the House.
